Tragedia en Guanacaste: Encuentran sin vida a madre de cinco hijos en Belén de Carrillo
El cuerpo sin vida de María Gutiérrez Méndez, de 64 años, fue hallado en un terreno baldío en Belén de Carrillo, Guanacaste. La mujer, conocida cariñosamente como Chayito, era madre de cinco hijos. El trágico descubrimiento ocurrió este miércoles, un día después de que la vieron por última vez tras visitar a su hermana en la misma comunidad.
El hallazgo, reportado a las 3:30 p.m. por la Cruz Roja, conmocionó a la familia y vecinos de la zona. José Gutiérrez, hermano de la víctima, vive en San José y se enteró de la noticia a través de sus sobrinos y otros familiares. Desconcertado, viajó hasta el Complejo de Ciencias Forenses en San Joaquín de Heredia para recuperar el cuerpo de su hermana y trasladarlo de vuelta a Guanacaste.
José compartió su dolor recordando una tragedia anterior que golpeó a su familia. Hace nueve años, perdió a su hijo en un atropello cerca de la antigua Radio Reloj en San José. “Hace nueve años me arrebataron a mi hijo y no hubo justicia. Ahora esto le pasa a mi hermana. Somos una familia trabajadora y no entendemos por qué suceden estas cosas», declaró.
Hasta la fecha, el Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) ha registrado 49 mujeres víctimas de homicidio en 2024. La familia Gutiérrez pide respuestas y justicia, esperando esclarecer las circunstancias detrás de este lamentable hecho.
