Diputados proponen reducción del 50 % al impuesto de la gasolina
Iniciativa fue presentada por legisladores del Partido Restauración Nacional.
La tarde de este miércoles los diputados del Partido Restauración Nacional (PRN) Eduardo Cruickshank y Carlos Avendaño, presentaron un proyecto de ley que busca reducir a la mitad el impuesto único a los combustibles, como medida para bajar el precio de la gasolina súper, plus 91 y el diésel.
La iniciativa que se tramita bajo el expediente 22.512 indica que la tarifa del tributo se reduciría a un 50 % por dos años a partir de la publicación de la ley en caso de que el Congreso de su aval.
“El aumento de los precios en los combustibles es, sin duda, uno de los golpes más fuertes que puede experimentar el bolsillo de las personas. En los últimos días, hemos experimentado una serie de alzas que han elevado el precio de los combustibles a uno de sus niveles más altos, alcanzando un precio por litro de ₡700 en el caso de la gasolina súper, ₡683 para la regular y ₡572 para el diésel”, indican los diputados en el texto.
Ambos legisladores sostienen que el principal factor de influye en el aumento del precio de los combustibles es el impuesto único que actualmente representa el 37,7 % del precio final para la gasolina súper, 36,9% para la regular y 26, 1%, para el diésel.
“Además los consumidores se verán altamente beneficiados porque esa reducción en el impuesto hará que el precio de los combustibles baje y con ello también disminuirán sus gastos, lo que significa que tendrán más dinero en el bolsillo para consumir y satisfacer otras de sus necesidades”, agregaron Cruickshank y Avendaño.
Los legisladores indicaron que la disminución que plantean no afectaría a las entidades beneficiadas con los recursos que se recaudan del impuesto porque lo que se dejaría de percibir es el porcentaje destinado al Gobierno Central.
