Defensoría llama a respetar resoluciones de la Sala Constitucional para preservar estabilidad democrática
La Defensoría de los Habitantes emitió un comunicado este lunes, destacando la importancia de respetar las resoluciones de la Sala Constitucional, en respuesta al reciente fallo de esta noche sobre la «Ley Jaguar para impulsar el desarrollo de Costa Rica». En su mensaje, la Defensoría subrayó que el acatamiento de las decisiones de la Sala Constitucional es fundamental para mantener la estabilidad democrática y la paz social en el país.
La resolución de la Sala IV declaró inconstitucionales varios artículos del proyecto de ley presentado por el presidente Rodrigo Chaves, generando un debate sobre su viabilidad y su impacto en la gestión de fondos públicos y los controles sobre contrataciones. Ante esta situación, la Defensoría hizo un llamado a respetar lo resuelto por el órgano jurisdiccional, enfatizando que tales decisiones son cruciales para la seguridad jurídica y el buen funcionamiento del Estado de Derecho.
La Defensoría resaltó la importancia de canalizar las controversias a través de los mecanismos legales establecidos y de mantener un equilibrio entre los Poderes de la República. Afirmó que en una democracia como la costarricense, es esencial que la sociedad promueva cambios necesarios sin debilitar los controles que garantizan la transparencia y eficiencia en el uso de los recursos públicos.
