Conductor Abandona Autobús en Llamas y Deja a Pasajeros a su Suerte en la ruta entre San José y Palmares

Un susto mayúsculo vivieron los pasajeros de un autobús que cubría la ruta entre San José y Palmares este lunes, cuando el vehículo se incendió repentinamente en plena carretera. Lo que comenzó como un viaje ordinario se convirtió en un caos, exacerbado por la acción del conductor, quien abandonó el autobús sin activar ningún protocolo de emergencia, según denuncian los afectados.
Luis Alvarado, uno de los pasajeros presentes, relató al DIARIO EXTRA que el autobús contaba únicamente con una puerta delantera, lo que complicó la evacuación. “El conductor simplemente salió corriendo sin avisar a nadie. No hubo ninguna indicación ni protocolo de evacuación”, comentó Alvarado, visiblemente afectado por la experiencia.
Los pasajeros comenzaron a notar humo saliendo del vehículo, pero esperaron en vano a que el chofer diera instrucciones para desalojar. Fue un automovilista que pasaba por el lugar quien alertó a los pasajeros, gritándoles que el autobús estaba en llamas.
En ese momento, la parte trasera del autobús ya estaba llena de humo, y la situación se tornó aún más peligrosa para las personas mayores que, según Alvarado, fueron las primeras en quejarse por la falta de aire. “Tuvimos que evacuar el autobús por nuestra cuenta, y cuando lo hicimos, el interior ya estaba completamente cubierto de humo”, añadió.
La situación empeoró cuando, debido al autobús varado en medio de la carretera, dos vehículos colisionaron, aparentemente por la distracción de los conductores al observar el incendio.
