CNE declara alerta verde para el Valle Central, Pacífico Central y Sur por lluvias
En respuesta a las condiciones meteorológicas adversas previstas para los próximos días.
La Comisión Nacional de Emergencias (CNE) declaró la tarde de este jueves alerta verde para el Pacífico Central, Pacífico Sur y el Valle Central en respuesta a las condiciones meteorológicas adversas previstas para los próximos días de acuerdo al Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN).
Esta medida se tomó debido a la presencia de un sistema de baja presión en el Mar Caribe, cerca de las costas de Nicaragua, que se espera genere un patrón húmedo e inestable.
El fenómeno atmosférico en el Caribe está previsto que refuerce la activación de la Zona de Convergencia Intertropical, posicionándola sobre Costa Rica. La interacción de estos elementos meteorológicos se espera que persista hasta el próximo domingo 19 de noviembre.
Las autoridades meteorológicas anticipan que esta combinación de factores atmosféricos favorecerá la ocurrencia de lluvias costeras durante las noches y madrugadas, así como aguaceros aislados con tormentas por las tardes. Estas condiciones afectarán principalmente a las regiones del Pacífico, con la posibilidad de impactos significativos en términos de inundaciones y deslizamientos de tierra.
La CNE insta a la población a mantenerse alerta, seguir las recomendaciones de las autoridades locales y estar preparada para afrontar posibles emergencias. Además, se han activado los comités de emergencia en las zonas afectadas para coordinar acciones preventivas y de respuesta.
Alejandro Picado, presidente del CNE recomienda a los ciudadanos estar atentos a los informes meteorológicos actualizados y tomar las precauciones necesarias, como evitar zonas propensas a inundaciones, mantenerse informados a través de fuentes oficiales.
La CNE indicó que continuará monitoreando la situación y proporcionará actualizaciones periódicas a medida que evolucione la condición meteorológica en el país.
