Cartagineses se manifiestan para exigir un nuevo hospital en la provincia
Diversos grupos sindicales del sector de la salud así como diputados de la zona se hicieron presentes en la marcha.
Este sábado, vecinos de Cartago, junto con alcaldes, autoridades y diputados de la provincia, llevan a cabo una manifestación pacífica en demanda de un nuevo hospital para la región. Este proyecto ha sido una promesa pendiente durante varios años.
El movimiento inició minutos después de las 9:30 a.m. frente al Hospital Max Peralta y concluirá en la Plaza Mayor.
Alcaldes de la provincia denunciaron que actualmente el centro médico no cuenta con las condiciones para brindar una atención digna a los pacientes.
Mientras tanto la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) informó que en dos meses dará respuesta sobre si el terreno es ideal para la construcción del nuevo hospital.
