Carlos Alvarado y Claudia Dobles reciben la segunda dosis de la vacuna anticovid
El presidente de la República y la Primera Dama recibieron la vacuna de Pfizer/BioNTech por parte de personal de Coopesana R.L.
Al cumplirse las ocho semanas de la aplicación de su primera dosis, el presidente de la República, Carlos Alvarado, y la Primera Dama, Claudia Dobles, recibieron su segunda dosis del biológico Pfizer/BioNTech, este lunes por la tarde en el centro de vacunación extramuros del Área de Salud de Santa Ana- Coopesana R.L, en Terrazas Lindora.
Alvarado, con 41 años de edad, y Dobles, con 40, fueron inmunizados por Raymond Santamaría, técnico asistente de la cooperativa de salud Coopesana R.L que administra el Área de Salud de Santa Ana, lugar en donde están adscritos por su zona de residencia.
Por su parte, la Primera Dama, Claudia Dobles, mencionó la importancia de no abandonar el ciclo de vacunación: “El Gobierno de la República ha hecho un esfuerzo para obtener las dosis necesarias para inmunizar a la población. Es fundamental recordar que la vacuna es segura y salva vidas”.
El mandatario también indicó que existe una presión sobre los hospitales del país.
Según la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) por día se están dando 156 nuevos ingresos, es decir 1 nuevo paciente por COVID-19 cada 9 minutos.
A la fecha se cuenta en total con 5.914.005 dosis de vacunas recibidas contra el COVID-19, de las cuales 5.022.105 son por contrato de compra. Del total, 4.490.655 son compradas a Pfizer/BioNTech, 844.800 dosis adquiridas con AstraZeneca y 259.350 por medio del mecanismo multilateral COVAX; mientras que 891.900 dosis han sido donadas, que corresponden a las entregas de los Gobiernos de España (69.600), Canadá (319.200) y Estados Unidos (503.100).
