Abuela Heroica Salvó a Su Nieta de 9 Días Durante Incendio en Guadalupe
La tarde del 18 de septiembre se convirtió en una pesadilla para una familia en El Alto de Guadalupe cuando un incendio arrasó con su hogar. Sin embargo, el heroísmo de una abuela de 74 años se destacó en medio de la tragedia, al salvar a su nieta de solo 9 días de nacida de las llamas.
El propietario de la vivienda, Jossafat Castillo, relató a crhoy.com que se encontraba fuera de su casa comprando un fresco en un local cercano cuando se desató el incendio. Fue a través de una videollamada de su esposa que se enteró de la emergencia y tuvo que regresar rápidamente al lugar. «Corrí 200 metros y cuando llegué, ya todo estaba en llamas,» comentó Castillo, visiblemente agitado.
Mientras Castillo ayudaba a su esposa, quien aún se recuperaba de una cesárea y sufrió una caída durante el incidente, su madre, la abuela de la bebé, actuó con valentía. Ella logró sacar a la pequeña de la casa en llamas antes de que fuera demasiado tarde. A pesar del susto, Castillo afirmó: «Lo importante es que todos estamos bien.»
El origen del incendio sigue siendo incierto para la familia, que aún no sabe si comenzó dentro o fuera de la casa. Los equipos médicos tuvieron que revisar a la abuela debido a un aumento en sus niveles de azúcar, consecuencia del intenso esfuerzo y estrés.
La vivienda fue declarada pérdida total por los bomberos, y Castillo confirmó: «Después de que los bomberos me permitieron subir, todo estaba destruido.» Afortunadamente, la familia se encuentra en buen estado de salud a pesar de la devastadora pérdida material.
