9 niños caminan kilómetros en el barro para recibir clases en San Carlos
La cantidad de obstáculos que tienen que atravesar los escolares todos los días no frena sus ganas de estudiar.
Nueve estudiantes de la Escuela Crucitas, en Cutris de San Carlos recorren largas distancias todos los días además de enfrentarse a las inclemencias del tiempo, como la lluvia, para asistir a lecciones.
La escena siempre se repite: los pequeños caminan con los zapatos en la mano para llegar a clases, llenos de barro y agotados. Así lo dio a conocer el medio San Carlos Digital.
“Salimos con botas de hule y le cambio los zapatos cuando llegamos a la escuela y a veces hay que cambiarle hasta la ropa por que a veces el barreal se va hasta arriba de las rodillas, arriba de las botas y se se ensucia la ropita”, aseguró Marlen Montoya, madre de Tatiana a SCD.
Tatiana viaja 1 kilómetro pero otros pequeños tienen que caminar hasta 4 kilómetros en esas condiciones.
El centro educativo de Crucitas cuenta con 9 estudiantes y todos tienen que caminar grandes distancias para recibir lecciones. Pero ese no es el único inconveniente con el que lidian los estudiantes.
Comen su merienda fría
A la travesía que viven los pequeños para llegar a la escuela se le suma que el centro educativo no tiene comedor escolar.
Los pequeños llevan la merienda desde sus hogares, pero al momento de consumirlos tienen que consumirlos fríos pues no cuentan ni con electrodomésticos para calentar.
A pesar de los múltiples oficios que envía la maestra Salvatierra, quien además es la directora de la escuela, no recibe respuesta del Ministerio de Educación Pública (MEP).
“Vea tanto despilfarro de dinero que hay y los más pobres no van a poder tener un plato de comida digno al igual que los otros niños del país”, indicó la profesora a SCD.
