Zlatan Ibrahimovic vuelve a la Selección de Suecia a los 41 años y amenaza récord de Dino Zoff
Zlatan Ibrahimovic está cerca de ser el jugador de más edad en disputar un partido de clasificación de un campeonato de Europa.
Con 41 años, el delantero sueco Zlatan Ibrahimovic, fue convocado este miércoles a su selección para los partidos de clasificación a la Eurocopa-2024 contra Bélgica y Azerbaiyán a finales de marzo, donde podría batir el récord de longevidad del legendario arquero italiano Dino Zoff.
Si entra en el césped del estadio nacional de Estocolmo el de 24 marzo contra los Diablos Rojos o el 27 contra los azeríes, el veterano delantero se convertiría en el jugador de más edad en disputar un partido de clasificación de un campeonato de Europa.
De regreso de su lesión, el jugador del AC Milan borraría de los récords a Dino Zoff, que había jugado contra Suecia el 29 de mayo de 1983, con 41 años, tres meses y un día.
«Zlatan ha hecho tres sustituciones bastante largas con el Milan últimamente y se siente en forma aunque haya estado ausente mucho tiempo», comentó el seleccionador Janne Andersson en el comunicado anunciando la selección sueca.
«En este contexto, pienso que puede aportar algo. Particularmente en el césped, pero también fuera», afirmó el entrenador escandinavo.
