Trump amenaza con revocar exención de impuestos a universidades con «adoctrinamiento de la izquierda radical»
Según el mandatario estadounidense, «demasiadas universidades y escuelas tienen que ver con el adoctrinamiento de la izquierda radical, no con la educación»
El presidente de EE.UU., Donald Trump, anunció que el Departamento del Tesoro del país norteamericano reexaminará el estatus de exención de impuestos de universidades y escuelas a las que acusa de adoctrinar a los alumnos con una ideología de «izquierda radical».
«Demasiadas universidades y sistemas escolares tienen que ver con el adoctrinamiento de la izquierda radical, no con la educación. Por lo tanto, le digo al Departamento del Tesoro que vuelva a examinar sus estatus de exención de impuestos o de financiamiento», escribió Trump en su cuenta de Twitter. Según el presidente, ese estatus y el financiamiento «serán eliminados si esta propaganda o acciones contra la política pública continúan. ¡Nuestros hijos deben ser educados, no adoctrinados!», exigió el inquilino de la Casa Blanca.
Por su parte, la Casa Blanca se negó a comentar el anuncio del mandatario. El Departamento del Tesoro no respondió a múltiples solicitudes de comentarios.
