Tras recuperarse del coronavirus, Tom Hanks y su esposa Rita Wilson han donado su sangre para la investigación de la vacuna contra el COVID-19, según ha revelado el actor en una reciente entrevista.
«La pregunta es, ¿qué pasa ahora? ¿Qué hacemos ahora? ¿Hay algo que podamos hacer? De hecho acabamos de descubrir que llevamos los anticuerpos», dijo Hanks en el podcast ‘Wait Wait* Don’t Tell Me!’ de MSN. El intérprete, que anunció que él y su mujer habían dado positivo en marzo, participa ahora en un estudio médico para ver si sus anticuerpos serán útiles para los científicos que trabajan en la vacuna.
Hanks también dijo que los síntomas de Wilson fueron más graves que los suyos. «Rita pasó una enfermedad más difícil que yo. Tenía fiebre mucho más alta y otros síntomas. Perdió el sentido del gusto y el olfato», relató.
Luhrmann también habló con Deadline sobre el clima en el set de la película tras conocerse la noticia. «Si hubo algo bueno al respecto, noté que a nivel mundial y particularmente en Estados Unidos de repente todos sintieron que era real», afirmó el realizador.
