Toda una ciudad de México queda bajo el agua y es evacuada tras 30 horas de lluvia
Autoridades estiman que la situación puede complicarse ante pronósticos meteorológicos de más lluvias torrenciales. El panorama es caótico: autos sumergidos, casas y barrios inundados y parte de la población incomunicada.
Villahermosa, capital del suroriental estado de Tabasco (México), ha quedado sumergida y decenas de familias han sido evacuadas ante las lluvias torrenciales originadas por el paso de un frente frío. El fenómeno sumergió autos, inundó casas y barrios, y dejó a parte de la población incomunicada.
De acuerdo a registros acumulados de lluvias en los centros de monitoreo en Villahermosa, la tormenta azotó durante 30 horas y produjo 450 milímetros de lluvias. El Ejército mexicano activó el rescate de decenas de familias en medio de un panorama que era caótico.
“El agua ha llegado hasta el pecho prácticamente. Desafortunadamente nuevamente nos encontramos en esta misma nueva situación y quiero decir que esto es única y exclusivamente inundación pluvial, solamente ha sido por la acumulación de lluvia y desde luego, el agua no filtra tan fácil al estar saturado el suelo”, señaló Jorge Mier y Terán, coordinador General de Protección Civil del Estado de Tabasco, a la prensa local.
Las autoridades estiman que el panorama podría complicarse hacia el domingo ante pronósticos meteorológicos de más lluvias torrenciales.
En el caso de Villahermosa, la capital estatal, se reportaron 22 colonias (barrios) inundados donde el nivel del agua superó el metro de altura en poblaciones donde incluso aún se encontraban inundadas, y volvió a incrementar los niveles de las aguas.

Al transcurrir las horas durante la mañana de este viernes, las afectaciones incrementaron y alcanzaron plazas comerciales, tiendas de autoservicio, la central de autobuses, el mercado de abastos presenta anegaciones de importancia; los vasos reguladores de Villahermosa se desbordaron.
El hospital regional de Pemex en Villahermosa se inundó en el área de urgencias y alcanzó la zona contaminada para la atención a enfermos de coronavirus, mientras el personal médico de guardia se encuentra atrapado. También resultaron afectadas las áreas de farmacia, laboratorios y rayos X.

El Centro de Reinserción Social del Estado de Tabasco (Creset), con más de 2.000 internos, también se encuentra anegado.
Aledaños a Villahermosa, los municipios de Cunduacán y Jalpa de Méndez, también en el centro del estado, han padecido severas inundaciones. Las autoridades de Tabasco y la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) decidieron cortar el suministro de energía eléctrica en varias zonas de Villahermosa.
