Sismo de magnitud 7.1 sacude a Japón
El movimiento telúrico ocurrió frente a la costa de la prefectura japonesa de Fukushima; no hay alerta de tsunami
Un sismo de magnitud 7.1 golpeó la prefectura japonesa de Fukushima con una profundidad de 60 km, según la Agencia Meteorológica de Japón.
El movimiento telúrico ocurrió este sábado a las 11:08 p.m. hora local.
Actualmente no hay ninguna alerta de tsunami en vigor.
Como precaución, se aconseja a las personas cercanas a las zonas costeras que se trasladen a terrenos más altos, mencionan las autoridades.

El sismo se notó con fuerza en Tokio, de acuerdo con videos que circulan en redes sociales, sin que las autoridades niponas reportaran víctimas hasta el momento.
Tanto en Fukushima como en la colindante Miyagi, en la costa noreste de Japón, el terremoto alcanzó el nivel de seis alto en la escala japonesa, con un máximo de siete y más centrada en las zonas afectadas que en la intensidad del temblor.
Otras prefecturas de la costa oriental y del centro de Japón se vieron también sacudidas con fuerza por el temblor, entre ellas la capital, donde se alcanzó el nivel 4 de la escala nipona.
La Agencia Meteorológica de Japón dijo que el sismo podría causar un leve aumento del nivel del mar, aunque no se ha activado la alerta de tsunami.
El Gobierno de Japón ha conformado “un equipo de emergencia” para recopilar la información y coordinarse con las autoridades locales “con la prioridad de salvar a posibles víctimas”, señaló en una comparecencia ante los medios el portavoz del Ejecutivo Katsunobu Kato.
“Estamos revisando la situación para comprobar si ha habido daños personales o materiales”, añadió Kato.
La compañía energética Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) señaló que no se han observado “anormalidades significativas” en los niveles de radiación en las plantas de Fukushima Daiichi y Daini, que se encuentran inactivas y en proceso de desmantelamiento a raíz del terremoto y el tsunami de marzo de 2011.
Tampoco se han detectado daños en otras nucleares ubicadas en otras zonas afectadas, según la cadena estatal NHK.
Sin energía eléctrica en hogares de Japón
En torno a 950 mil viviendas se han quedado sin suministro eléctrico en a raíz del terremoto en diversas áreas del país, según los datos ofrecidos por las compañías operadoras.
Además, varias líneas de trenes de alta velocidad (shinkansen) que operan en el noreste de Japón han suspendido sus operaciones debido a los apagones.
En Fukushima y Miyagi se han registrado por el momento varios incendios, uno de ellos en una fábrica, así como una avalancha de tierra sobre una autopista que podría haber dejado coches atrapados, según los medios nipones, que también recogen un balance temporal de una decena de heridos en incidentes relacionados con el sismo.
