Si algo me pasa, los quiero: historia real que inspiró conmovedor corto de Netflix
La cinta de 12 minutos presenta a dos padres que lidian con la muerte de su hija en un tiroteo escolar. Una historia para reflexionar.
Como parte de los estrenos semanales de Netflix, llegó a la plataforma Si algo me pasa, los quiero, cortometraje de 12 minutos que ya se ha posicionado como el más visto en el Perú.
Dirigido por el también actor Will McCormack (coguionista de Toy Story 4) y producida por Laura Dern, la cinta explora una problemática frecuente en Estados Unidos: los tiroteos escolares.
¿De qué trata Si algo me pasa, los quiero?
La película, que no cuenta con diálogos, expone las consecuencias de un trágico ataque escolar y los intentos de un matrimonio para procesar el vacío emocional dejado por la repentina pérdida de su única hija.
Tras ver la corta historia, muchos cibernautas se preguntan si If anything happens, i love you de Netflix está basada en un hecho real. La respuesta la dio Will McCormack a Animation Scoop, donde indicó que más allá de estar centrado en un caso particular, se tomó de referencia un hecho ocurrido en el 2018.
En aquel año, el Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School en Parkland, Florida, fue testigo de un ataque perpetrado por Nikolas Cruz, exalumno de dicho centro. El joven ingresó armado a la escuela y amenazó a sus compañeros. Cuando los estudiantes se vieron acorralados, enviaron mensaje de textos a sus padres informándoles sobre lo sucedidos y despidiéndose en el caso les ocurra algo.
El director, junto al resto de la producción, se contactó con las familias que estuvieron involucradas en el ataque para tener un testimonio de primera mano. “Entre los mensajes que aparecieron aquella vez en Twitter estaba el de una chica que le decía a sus padres ‘Si no lo logro, los amo y agradezco lo que han hecho por mí’. Para la edad que tengo, me quebró”, contó McCormack.
