Seleccionados ingleses se arrodillaron como método de protesta antes del partido contra Irán
Los ingleses lo hicieron como forma de protesta contra la discriminación.
La mañana de este lunes 21de noviembre se dio el segundo juego del Mundial de Qatar 2022, entre las selecciones de Inglaterra e Irán, y el cual trajo polémica luego de que los jugadores ingleses se arrodillaran segundos antes de que iniciara el partido, esto como método de protesta contra la discriminación.
Y es que este gesto de protesta inició en los Estados Unidos, cuando el jugador de fútbol americano, Colin Kaepernick de los San Francisco 49ers, lo realizó en el 2016 como lucha contra la muerte de personas de raza negra en manos de blanco es ese país.
El método tomó fuerza a nivel mundial y cada vez son más los deportistas que utilizan esto como una forma de protesta previo a eventos deportivos.
Y es que la polémica en cuanto a la lucha contra la discriminación ha estado presente en Qatar 2022, luego de que varias selecciones pretendían utilizar brazaletes arcoíris “One Love”, pero desistieron de esto debido a las amenazas de sanción.
Entre esas selecciones estaba la inglesa, sin embargo, no en el juego de hoy no utilizaron el brazalete, pero en su lugar el capitán del equipo Harry Kane, si utilizó un gafete en contra de la discriminación.
