Rusia revela el precio de su potencial vacuna para el mercado internacional
El costo será válido a partir de febrero de 2021. El Fondo ruso precisó más temprano que su vacuna contra la COVID-19 tiene una eficacia del 95%.
El Fondo de Inversión Directa de Rusia (RDIF) ha revelado el precio de la Sputnik V, su potencial vacuna contra el coronavirus. Según un comunicado publicado en su cuenta de Twitter este martes 24 de noviembre, el precio de una dosis será inferior a los 10 dólares en el mercado internacional.
“La vacuna consta de dos dosis”, detalla la misiva sobre el fármaco y agrega que este costo, válido a partir de febrero de 2021, es “dos o más veces más barato que las vacunas basadas en ARNm con similar eficacia”. Por otro lado, “la vacunación con Sputnik V será gratis para los nacionales de Rusia”.
Más temprano, el Centro Gamaleya había señalado que la potencial vacuna rusa tiene una eficacia del 95% y hasta un 91,4% 28 días después de la inyección de la primera dosis, según “un cálculo basado en 39 casos”.

El Fondo ruso ha comunicado que los primeros suministros internacionales de Sputnik V empezarán en enero de 2021, en base a “las asociaciones existentes con fabricantes extranjeros”. En tanto, los clientes que han presentado recientemente sus solicitudes para obtenerla “podrán recibir los primeros lotes de esta a partir de marzo de 2021”.
“Estamos listos para comenzar las entregas de la vacuna Sputnik V a los mercados extranjeros gracias a las asociaciones con fabricantes en la India, Brasil, Corea del Sur, China y otros cuatro países”, afirmó el director ejecutivo del RDIF, Kiril Dmítriev, citado en la nota.
El pasado 11 de agosto, Rusia registró la primera vacuna contra la COVID-19. Antes del registro, el fármaco pasó dos fases de pruebas, y los ensayos de fase tres, con la participación de 40.000 voluntarios, se están llevando a cabo en la actualidad.
