Según el portal de viajes y turismo internacional Travel News, Costa Rica ha sido por años uno de los destinos preferidos por los suizos para viajar, pero eso estaría cerca de cambiar.
“Este país, con sus impresionantes 100 volcanes y 27 parques nacionales, se destaca en la región por su economía avanzada y su envidiable limpieza, ganándose así el apodo de “la Suiza de Centroamérica”, señala la publicación que fue compartida por el periódico La República.
Según Sebastian Kickmaier de Travelhouse: “esto probablemente no sucederá en el próximo año. Sin embargo, a largo plazo, estamos convencidos de que Colombia tiene el potencial necesario para convertirse en el próximo gran destino turístico de América Latina”.
Kickmaier también afirmó que, tarde o temprano, Colombia podría competir con Costa Rica y atraer a un mayor número de viajeros suizos.
Este cuestionamiento surge en un momento en que la aerolínea suiza Edelweiss anunció que comenzará a operar vuelos dos veces por semana desde Zúrich hacia Colombia a partir del 22 de noviembre
