Presentadora de televisión llora la muerte de su hijo por peligrosa droga
Un vendedor de drogas contactó al adolescente por Snapchat.
La famosa doctora Laura Berman, estrella de la cadena de Oprah Winfrey, está de luto tras la muerte de su hijo de 16 años.
El adolescente —Samuel Berman Chapman— murió tras ingerir xanax mezclado con fentanilo, un analgésico opioide sintético 100 veces más potente que la morfina.
La autora y presentadora de televisión contó su dolorosa experiencia en Instagram con la intención de evitar otras tragedias como esta.
“Mi bello hijo se fue. 16 años. Estaba en casa. Un vendedor de drogas se conectó con él por Snapchat y le dio fentanilo con xanax, provocándole una sobredosis en su habitación”, escribió la madre en las redes sociales.
Durante una entrevista con NBC Nightly News, Berman dijo que ella entró en su habitación y “él estaba en el suelo. Se había ido”.
“Hacen esto porque engancha a la gente aún más y es bueno para el negocio, pero causa una sobredosis y los niños no saben lo que están tomando. Mi corazón está totalmente destrozado y no sé cómo seguir respirando. Solo publico esto para que no se muera un niño más”.
La conductora del pódcast The Language of Love [El lenguaje del amor] asegura que siempre estuvo pendiente de su hijo y esto ha sido un gran shock para la familia. También pidió a los padres que estuvieran muy alertas con los adolescentes y su acceso a las redes sociales.
“Lo supervisábamos de muy cerca. Era un estudiante de solo excelentes calificaciones. Estaba preparándose para la universidad. Experimentar le salió mal”, añadió sobre Samuel.
“Le llevaron las drogas a la casa. Por favor supervisen a sus hijos y tengan cuidado con Snapchat especialmente. Así es como los contactan”.
