Niñero que abusó de 16 menores bajo su cuidado enfrentará una condena de 690 años en prisión
Según las autoridades, el niñero, identificado como Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, fue declarado culpable de 34 cargos de abuso sexual en contra de 16 pequeños entre los 2 y los 12 años.
Un sujeto deberá enfrentar una cadena perpetua en prisión tras ser declarado culpable de abusar sexualmente de 16 niños entre los 2 y los 12 años mientras se desempeñaba como niñero para cuidarlos. Adicionalmente, tiene un cargo por mostrarle pornografía a otro menor, con el objetivo de agredirlo.
El niñero, cuya pena máxima es de 690 años de cárcel, fue identificado como Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski, de 34 años, y fue condenado por 34 delitos graves de agresión sexual. Por otro lado, se descubrió que muchos de sus abusos que cometió fueron registrados en cámara por él mismo.
No obstante, a través de las cámaras de seguridad, descubrieron que lo estaba tocando en sus partes íntimas.
Inmediatamente, la Unidad de Inteligencia y Delitos Mayores del Departamento de Policía local abrió una investigación en contra del hombre, que condujo a la identificación de una segunda víctima, de 7 años, en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, y a otros 10 menores de edad en todo el sur de California.
«Estoy increíblemente orgulloso de las jóvenes víctimas que subieron al estrado para testificar contra su abusador, de los padres que estuvieron a su lado en cada paso del camino y de los padres que testificaron ellos mismos. Al enfrentarse a este depredador y decir la verdad sobre lo que hizo, se están asegurando de que las voces de las víctimas de agresión sexual se escuchen mientras protegen a otros niños de ser victimizados”, agregó.
De acuerdo con las autoridades, los crímenes se llevaron a cabo entre el 1 de enero de 2014 y el 17 de mayo de 2019. Matthew Antonio Zakrzewski fue declarado culpable por un jurado de los 34 delitos graves de abuso sexual y su sentencia está prevista para el 17 de noviembre de 2023, donde enfrenta hasta 690 años a cadena perpetua más ocho años.
