Los cárteles del narcotráfico son la quinta organización que más empleos da en México, según ha revelado un reciente estudio de la revista Science. De acuerdo con la investigación, este grupo otorga trabajo a cerca de 175.000 personas en el país azteca, por lo que alcanza cifras más altas que conocidas empresas como Oxxo, Pemex, Bimbo o Coppel.
En este sentido, estiman que las organizaciones del narcotráfico reclutan entre 350 y 370 personas por semana, aunque estos datos podrían estar en alza debido a que alrededor de 200 mueren semanalmente víctimas de los conflictos entre las agrupaciones rivales y las autoridades.
Finalmente, los investigadores, liderados por Rafael Prieto Curiel, advierten que la única manera de combatir la violencia generada del crimen organizado en México es atacar el reclutamiento que se realiza, reemplazando la estrategia que lleva a cabo el Estado por una preventiva. De no hacer esto, su poder podría seguir aumentando y conseguir que el número de víctimas crezca un 40%; mientras que, en cuanto a miembros reclutados, sume un 26%.
Gobierno de México niega cifras sobre poder del narcotráfico
El Gobierno mexicano negó el último miércoles que los cárteles del narcotráfico sean el quinto empleador más grande del país, como estimó un artículo publicado en la revista Science.
“Salió una nota de la derecha de los conservadores, diciendo que los empleos que se generan en México vienen del narcotráfico. El quinto empleador. Llama mucho la atención de que el primero o segundo empleador es Femsa”, agregó el presidente mexicano, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
