Netflix se retracta: ya no cobrará más dinero por abrir tu cuenta en otras casas

Para que sus usuarios no compartan su cuenta con personas desconocidas y así sumar más suscriptores, Netflix implementó en cinco países, un experimento que buscaba que paguen por perfiles extras. Por fortuna, una reciente información señala que la plataforma de series y películas en streaming ha decidido dar marcha atrás en esta estrategia. ¿Por qué? Aquí te lo contamos.
Netflix empezó a cobrar por “agregar una casa o perfil” a una cuenta existente. En el caso de nuestro país, los titulares de la cuenta debían pagar 7 soles para añadir un perfil extra fuera de casa.
Como se sabe, esta medida de Netflix no fue bien recibida por los usuarios de la plataforma. En redes sociales, muchas personas manifestaron su rechazo a esta medida de la gran N y prometieron darse de baja en el servicio si la plataforma continuaba con este cobro extra.
“Luego de escuchar los comentarios de los consumidores, hemos decidido descontinuar las funciones de ‘Agregar una casa’. En cambio, nos enfocaremos en facilitar que las personas que comparten una cuenta puedan transferir su perfil e iniciar su propia membresía y que todos los miembros puedan administrar sus dispositivos y crear subcuentas (”miembro extra”) de forma sencilla, si quieren pagar por familiares o amigos”, informó Netflix en un comunicado.
Sin embargo, el portal especializado Gizmodo señala que Netflix no dejará del todo su idea de que una mayor cantidad de usuarios paguen por el servicio de streaming. Las nuevas opciones serían transferir un perfil o mediante el reenvío de contraseñas.
