Netanyahu anuncia Gobierno de Emergencia en Israel: ‘Hamás es Daesh (grupo Estado Islámico) y los aplastaremos’
El primer ministro de Israel informó que este nuevo régimen, junto con miembros de la oposición, será hasta que dure la guerra y la eliminación de Hamás. El conflicto ha dejado más de 1 200 muertos en el país y al menos 1 100 en la Franja de Gaza.
Benjamín Netanyahu, primer ministro de Israel, informó este miércoles la conformación de un Gobierno de emergencia con el líder de la oposición, Benny Gantz. Esto en el quinto de día de guerra con Hamás y las milicias palestinas de Gaza.
“Dejamos de lado cualquier otra consideración por los ciudadanos de Israel”, afirmó el primer ministro durante un mensaje conjunto con Gantz y el ministro de Defensa, Yoav Gallant. Y agregó: “Hamás es Daesh (grupo Estado Islámico) y los aplastaremos y destruiremos como el mundo ha destruido a Daesh”.
Por su parte, el gabinete de gestión de la guerra estará integrado por Netanyahu, Gantz y el actual ministro de Defensa, Yoav Gallant.
“Vamos a destruir y matar completamente a Hamás, el ISIS de Gaza. Se esfumarán de la Tierra, ya no existirán, no aceptaremos que los niños y bebés israelíes sean asesinados y todo siga como siempre”, aseguró Gallant.
El primer avión cargado con munición avanzada procedente de Estados Unidos aterrizó en la base aérea de Nevatim, en el sur de Israel, según el portavoz de las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel (FDI), general Daniel Hagari.
Joe Biden, presidente de Estados Unidos, prometió que su país dará a Israel todo lo que necesite para defenderse en respuesta al ataque que perpetró el sábado Hamás y que ha provocado una escalada de violencia con centenares de víctimas mortales en ambos lados.
En un discurso en la Casa Blanca, Biden confirmó además que hay ciudadanos estadounidenses entre los secuestrados y elevó a 14 la cifra de nacionales de su país que han muerto en Israel.
El secretario de Estado de Estados Unidos, Antony Blinken, viajará a Israel para expresar su apoyo a las autoridades de ese país.
El jefe de la diplomacia estadounidense, que también visitará Jordania, partirá este miércoles de Washington y aterrizará en la región el jueves.
