Mujer que quedó temporalmente ciega al tatuarse los ojos dice que ‘tanto dolor me permitió crecer’
La mujer, que es adicta a tatuarse, tiene el 98% del cuerpo cubierto de tinta. A pesar de quedar temporalmente ciega después de pintar sus globos oculares planea seguir con sus modificaciones, pues gracias a ellas ha encontrado su ‘verdadero yo’.
Amber Luke, de 28 años, comenzó a obsesionarse con los tatuajes hace un par de años, con el objetivo de cubrir todo su cuerpo de tinta. Con una inversión total de 280.000 dólares australianos para su propósito, ahora es conocida como «la mujer más tatuada de Australia» y planea seguir haciéndose modificaciones pese a que en alguna ocasión quedó ciega temporalmente.
De acuerdo con la mujer, que se ha considerado adicta a los tatuajes y a las modificaciones corporales, la tinta le ha permitido convertirse en su «verdadero yo». Luke, además de tener símbolos satánicos dibujados en el cuerpo, tiene la lengua bífida y los globos de los ojos completamente azules.
«Todo el trabajo duro y la dedicación que he puesto en este largo viaje han valido la pena y es bueno tener el reconocimiento del título, aunque no es oficial. Ahora, me presento con esto y como conozco a muchas personas en público que me reconocen, es fácil para mí decirles exactamente quién soy», agregó.
Luego de rellenar su espalda con tinta negra al estilo blackwork, Amber reveló sus próximos procedimientos, que implican cubrir partes completas de color negro, eliminado algunos de los dibujos que ya no la representan: “Quiero seguir transformándome a medida que sigo adelante y en este momento estoy trabajando en mi pierna derecha”, explicó.
“No podría decir si haría blackwork por todas partes, ya que estaría eliminando todo mi dolor, lágrimas y sangre en aquellas áreas en las que he trabajado hasta ahora y que me definen como persona, pero me está ayudando a evolucionar desde la parte anterior de mi vida y a cubrir los tatuajes que ya no satisfacen mi estética o placer”, puntualizó.
Pese a estar muy satisfecha con su cuerpo y con su apariencia, Amber reveló que su imagen le ha costado oportunidades laborales, ya que, según ella, los empleadores no miran su talento sino cómo se ve.
“La gente me pregunta todo el tiempo si me arrepiento de mi apariencia, pero realmente no lo hago, aunque tampoco guardo nada para el futuro. Creo que lo más importante para recordar sobre mi imagen es que todo lo que he hecho, a pesar de que me quedé ciega durante tres semanas y pasé por tanto tormento y dolor, me permitió crecer”, confesó.
