Mujer apuñaló al novio y le dijo a la Policía que él había llegado así a la casa: el hombre murió
De acuerdo con las autoridades, el hombre marcó a la línea de emergencia para denunciar que había sido apuñalado, pero luego la mujer se apoderó del teléfono y aseguró que eran heridas ‘poco profundas’ y que no sabía quién lo había hecho.
Una mujer de 47 años, identificada como Natalie Bennett, fue declarada culpable por el asesinato de su novio, Kasey Anderson, de 25, a quien apuñaló en múltiples ocasiones en el interior de su vivienda, el 11 de marzo de 2023. De acuerdo con las autoridades, la hoy condenada había dicho que su pareja había llegado “así” a la casa, ubicada en Liverpool, Inglaterra.
Según los investigadores, Bennett intentó golpear en la cabeza a Anderson mientras este le pedía ayuda a gritos a sus vecinos. Adicionalmente, se conoció que la víctima se comunicó con la línea de emergencia para reportar que estaba gravemente herido luego de ser apuñalado, pero la mujer tomó el teléfono y se hizo cargo de la llamada.
Rápidamente, las autoridades llegaron al lugar de los hechos en el vecindario de Carr Lane East y Anderson fue trasladado de urgencia a un centro asistencial donde los médicos descubrieron que tenía heridas superficiales en el cuello, el hombro y la pierna derecha, el antebrazo izquierdo y la parte baja de la espalda, además de una puñalada profunda en el pecho que dañó su pulmón izquierdo y su corazón.
Por este motivo, el hombre tuvo que ser intervenido quirúrgicamente con la esperanza de que eso pudiera salvar su vida, pero murió 20 días después, en la madrugada del 31 de marzo.
Por otro lado, imágenes captadas por las cámaras de seguridad de los vecinos evidenciaron el momento en el que Bennett apuntó el cuchillo a la cabeza de su novio y lo golpeó en repetidas ocasiones. Asimismo, en el lavaplatos de la cocina, los oficiales encontraron “varios instrumentos punzantes” que podrían haber sido utilizados por la mujer.
Finalmente, Natalie Bennett fue declarada culpable de asesinato en el Tribunal de la Corona de Liverpool y podrá enfrentarse a una sentencia de cadena perpetua en el juicio que se realizará el 10 de noviembre de 2023.
