Miles de italianos cantan el “Bella Ciao” desde sus ventanas por el aniversario de la Liberación
Los italianos en Roma entonaron la canción de los partisianos para celebrar la fiesta que conmemora la liberación de Milán, Turín y Genova y la derrota de los nazis en la península.
Los italianos, confinados desde hace mes y medio, salieron a sus ventanas este sábado con ocasión del Día de la Liberación y entonaron el himno nacional y también la canción de los partisanos, «Bella Ciao». Los aviones caza dejaron una estela tricolor en el soleado cielo de Roma, una capital con las calles vacías a causa de la cuarentena impuesta por la pandemia de coronavirus.
Unos minutos antes, miles de habitantes entonaban el «Bella Ciao para celebrar la fiesta que conmemora la liberación de Milán, Turín y Génova en 1945 y la derrota de los nazis en la península. Sin embargo, la canción, muy popular entre la izquierda, causa malestar en algunos italianos, que no se identifican con ella.
«Esta mañana, un cura me dijo que le habían impedido oficiar» misa en público, «mientras que otros pueden festejar», agregó.
El alcalde de Milán, Giuseppe Sala, de izquierda, en una región dominada por la Liga de Salvini, invitó a un amigo, el músico Saturnino, a interpretar «Bella Ciao» en el balcón del ayuntamiento, frente a un puñado de peatones.
El dictador fascista Benito Mussolini, aliado de la Alemania nazi, fue derrocado y detenido en julio de 1943, pero luego un comandó alemán lo liberó para instaurar en Saló (norte) un régimen apoyado por las tropas nazis, que reforzaron su presencia en la península a medida que los partisanos iban incrementando su actividad.
