Mató a un joven porque lo vio orinando en la pared de su edificio
El asesino llamó a las autoridades y mintió con la intención de evitar delatarse. Sin embargo, las cámaras de seguridad develaron que todo ocurrió luego de que lo vio orinando.
Un empresario disparó y mató a un joven desarmado al que vio orinando en la pared de un edificio de su propiedad en Florida, Estados Unidos. El hombre fue acusado de homicidio en segundo grado y está preso sin derecho a fianza, informaron este miércoles medios locales.
Los medios destacan que Don Yates, abogado defensor de Lloyd Preston Brewer, de 57 años, se mostró de acuerdo con la Fiscalía en mantener a su cliente detenido hasta la próxima audiencia, prevista para el 2 de marzo.
Yates le expresó al juez del caso que para la causa de la justicia es bueno que su cliente esté tras las rejas, según lo informado por el canal Local 10.
El fiscal Dennis Ward dijo que tanto la víctima, Garrett Hughes, de 21 años, como el hombre que le disparó tras verlo orinando, estaban borrachos cuando tuvieron un altercado en la parte trasera de un bar en Cayo Hueso (sur de Florida) el pasado lunes.
«(Hughes) estaba tambaleándose por el lugar y (Brewer) se levantó la camisa, sacó un arma y le disparó al estómago», informó el fiscal del caso tras la revisión de las imágenes de una cámara de seguridad en el lugar.
Aparentemente el acusado hizo un segundo disparo y después llamó al teléfono de emergencias. En la conversación declaró que había disparado a un hombre en legítima defensa, pero «el video no sustenta esa teoría», agregó el fiscal.
Hughes, el joven al que le dispararon por estar orinando, era hijo del entrenador de fútbol de la escuela secundaria de Cayo Hueso, John Hughes, el cual manifestó tener el corazón roto por lo sucedido.
También agradeció a la comunidad de la ciudad isleña el cariño y apoyo que le han dado a él y a su familia en estas circunstancias.
