¿Lo sabías? Solo siete mujeres en el mundo pueden vestir de blanco frente al Papa
Cuando una mujer asiste a una visita oficial en presencia del Papa Francisco, deben usar una vestimenta particular.
Es cierto que La Santa Sede no impone un código de vestimenta de manera obligatoria, pero igualmente sugiere un protocolo para las audiencias con el Papa y las visitas de Estado tanto para mujeres como para hombres.
En el caso femenino, dice que se requiere vestido negro largo con cuello alto, manga larga y velo negro. Sin embargo, esta regla no aplica para reinas y princesas católicas. Se trata de «il privilegio del bianco» (el privilegio del blanco), una especie de prerrogativa concedida y mantenida a criterio del Papa, según informa huffingtonpost.com.
Actualmente a sólo a siete reinas, princesas o duquesas de monarcas y monarcas eméritos les es concedido el «privilegio del blanco»: la reina consorte Leticia, de España; la reina emérita Sofía, también de España; la reina consorte Matilde, de Bélgica; la reina emérita Paola, también de Bélgica; la gran duquesa María Teresa, de Luxemburgo; la princesa Charlene, de Mónaco; y la princesa Marina, de Nápoles, por pertenecer a la Casa de Saboya.
Ojo, que esta norma aplica únicamente cuando las mujeres asisten a visitas oficiales, audiencias privadas, canonizaciones y misas. Cuando el Papa va de visita a otro país, en este caso Chile, la regla del «privilegio del bianco» NO aplica, aunque no faltan las que hacen caso al código de todas maneras.
