La reconocida cadena especializada en hamburguesas y comida rápida alentó a sus consumidores a preferir también otras grandes transnacionales y negocios independientes de cocina «que necesitan de tu apoyo en este momento».
Las consecuencias del coronavirus para la economía están haciendo que Burger King pida a sus consumidores preferir a la competencia.
Las redes sociales de la firma transnacional de comida rápida en Reino Unido publicaron un desesperado llamado con un título que no podía ser más sorprendente: «Pide en McDonald’s».
Allí, la cadena especializada en hamburguesas expresó que «nunca pensamos que les estaríamos pidiendo esto. Al igual que nunca pensamos que estaríamos alentando a pedir en KFC, Subway, Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, Five Guys, Greggs, Taco Bell, Papa John’s, Leon… o cualquier otro negocio de comida independiente, demasiado numerosos como para mencionarlos aquí».
«Pero los restaurantes que contratan a miles de empleados necesitan de tu apoyo en este momento», continúa el escrito.
Incluso, apuntaron directamente a su producto estrella y al de McDonald’s: «Siempre será mejor tener un Whopper, pero ordenar un Big Mac tampoco es una mala idea».

Reino Unido cuenta con la mayor cifra de muertos por coronavirus en Europa (46.555, según publica la agencia de noticias AFP), y el primer ministro Boris Johnson anunció que este jueves 5 de noviembre Inglaterra volverá al reconfinamiento. Y hasta el 2 de diciembre.
