Larry King, hospitalizado por Covid-19
El periodista es diabético y padeció cáncer de pulmón
Larry King, reconocido conductor y periodista estadounidense, está hospitalizado debido al Covid-19; así lo confirmaron CNN y otros medios norteamericanos.
Según el ya citado medio, King, de 87 años, lleva más de una semana internado en el Centro Médico Cedars Sinai de Los Ángeles, esto debido a que padece diabetes y estuvo enfermo de cáncer de pulmón en el pasado, por lo que se le considera un paciente de alto riesgo. Por protocolo, nadie puede visitarlo.
Esta enfermedad forma parte de un año muy complicado para el periodista, pues en mayo sufrió un Accidente Cerebrovascular, tres meses después se divorció de su esposa Shawn tras 22 años de matrimonio y entre julio y agosto perdió a dos de sus hijos.
“Con gran tristeza y el corazón destrozado de un padre, confirmo la reciente pérdida de dos de mis hijos, Andy y Chaia King. Eran almas buenas y gentiles y nos harán mucha falta. Andy falleció repentinamente, de un ataque cardíaco el 28 de julio y Chaia se fue el 20 de agosto, después de que se le había diagnosticado un tumor de pulmón. Haberlos perdido está mal. Ningún padre debería sepultar a sus hijos”, escribió en aquella ocasión Larry King en sus redes sociales.

2021, el periodista se convirtió en presentador de “Larry King Now”, programa que se transmite hasta la fecha pero sólo en línea. Además, tiene cargos en Hulu y RT América.
