Joven pierde su ojo en medio de la manifestación por George Floyd en EE. UU.

Un joven de 21 años, identificado como Balin Brake, perdió un ojo tras ser agredido con un bote de gas lacrimógeno por parte de los agentes policiales en medio de la manifestación que hubo por la muerte de George Floyd en Estados Unidos.
El muchacho expresó que se encontraba entre los manifestantes y recibió un golpe en la cara. Segundos después, sintió que no podía ver por la gran cantidad de sangre que tuvo.
Incluso, el joven señaló que lo que sufrió no puede tener comparación a las agresiones contra los afroamericanos que sufrieron en los últimos años.
En una entrevista para el portal Daily Mail, Balin Brake indicó que “los manifestantes estaban en las calles». «Los policías nos pidieron que nos dispersemos y luego comenzaron a lanzar gases lacrimógenos contra la multitud”, aseveró.
Una autopsia independiente detalló que el hombre falleció por la compresión del cuello y la espalda y eso permitió que haya una falta de flujo sanguíneo a su cerebro. El abogado de la familia de la víctima, Ben Crump, dijo que “la ambulancia era su coche fúnebre”. “Nuestro cliente murió porque necesitaba respiración. Necesitaba una respiración de aire”, subrayó.
La familia también ha pedido que los otros tres policías involucrados sean arrestados, ya que no intervinieron cuando se le presionó el cuello a la víctima.
