Una joven de 20 años asesinó a su madre para que no se enterara de que había dejado la universidad; la golpeó y apuñaló en 30 ocasiones. En octubre recibirá la sentencia tras haber sido condenada en los últimos días.
El horrible crimen ocurrió en Estados Unidos en 2020, cuando Sydney Powell asesinó a su mamá, Brenda Powell, de 50 años.
Según detalló TN, la fiscalía a través de un comunicado de prensa explicó que la joven de 20 años golpeó la cabeza de su madre con un sartén de hierro y luego la apuñaló casi 30 veces en el cuello. La mujer fue trasladada por emergencias a un hospital donde finalmente falleció.
Al momento de escuchar su veredicto, en el cual la declararon culpable, Powell rompió en un llanto desconsolador. Las imágenes fueron difundidas por Court TV.
Sydney recibirá la sentencia el próximo 28 de octubre, aunque aún no se decidió si cumplirá la condena en prisión o será internada en un centro de salud mental.
