Fiscalía de Venezuela emitió orden de arresto contra Juan Guaidó, exiliado en Estados Unidos
El fiscal general de Venezuela tres fiscales designados para el caso harán «la respectiva solicitud de alerta roja a Interpol» para que Juan Guaidó, opositor que presidió un gobierno interino, pague por delitos como traición a la patria y usurpación de funciones.
El fiscal general de Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, anunció este jueves, 5 de octubre de 2023, que el Ministerio Público ha emitido una orden de arresto contra el expresidente del Parlamento Juan Guaidó, exiliado en Estados Unidos desde abril, a quien acusa de varios delitos, entre ellos figura el de legitimación de capitales.
En una declaración ante periodistas, Saab explicó que, además de dictar la orden de aprehensión, tres fiscales designados para el caso harán «la respectiva solicitud de alerta roja a Interpol para que este sujeto pague por estos delitos».
«Utilizando la figura de un gobierno ficticio, causó pérdidas al Estado venezolano», dijo el fiscal, que estima en 19.000 millones de dólares el monto desfalcado por el antichavista.
El funcionario citó una «sentencia» de una corte en el país norteamericano que, según dijo, indica que el exdiputado «ha accedido a los activos de las filiales de (la petrolera estatal) Pdvsa en Estados Unidos y los ha utilizado para financiarse».
El Ministerio Público ha abierto 23 investigaciones a Juan Guaidó por supuestos delitos cometidos en el «Gobierno interino» y otras cinco causas relacionadas con una empresa venezolana en Colombia, pero nunca habló de una orden de arresto en su contra hasta este jueves.
Aunque el opositor no ha respondido directamente a estas acusaciones, a través de las redes sociales compartió un artículo que habla de la «defensa» de Citgo, filial de Pdvsa en EE. UU., durante su tiempo en el interinato.
