Familia demanda a Google tras muerte de su padre
Maps lo llevó a conducir por puente derrumbado
Una familia de Estados Unidos demandó a Google por la muerte de su padre, acusando que la herramienta de navegación Google Maps, le proporcionó indicaciones erróneas que lo llevaron a conducir hacia un puente destruido desde 2013.
El accidente protagonizado por Philip Paxson, ocurrió el año pasado en Carolina del Norte. Según informó CNN, el hecho pasó en septiembre de 2022, cuando el hombre abrió Google Maps, para volver a casa tras la fiesta del noveno cumpleaños de su hija.
Paxson, de 47 años, era padre de dos niñas. Su vehículo Jeep Gladiator cayó seis metros y se hundió en Snow Creek en Hickory, lo que provocó que se ahogara.
“Nuestras niñas preguntan cómo y por qué murió su papá, y me quedo sin palabras para que ellas entiendan que yo, como adulta, todavía no puedo creer cómo los responsables de las direcciones GPS y del puente pudieron haber actuado con tan poco respeto por la vida humana”, comentó su esposa, Alicia Paxson.
ERROR DE GOOGLE MAPS CONTINÚA
Además, de Google, se informó que la familia también demandará a la empresa matriz, Alphabet y dos compañías locales, por no haber realizado el mantenimiento correspondiente del terreno.
