Enfermera Argentina es dada de alta por COVID-19 y fallece al día siguiente
La mujer salió del hospital tras 20 días internación, en los que había estado con respirador mecánico. Los médicos estiman que su muerte no tiene relación directa con el coronavirus.
Una enfermera de 43 años, que el lunes 27 de julio había recibido el alta de coronavirus luego de permanecer 20 días internada, con respirador artificial, murió este martes a horas de la tarde en un hospital de la ciudad de Mar del Plata, en Argentina.
Se trata de María Mariángeli, quien laboraba en el Hospital Bernardo Houssay, administrado por el Programa de Atención Médica Integral (PAMI) y a inicios de julio se convirtió en uno de los principales epicentros de contagio de COVID-19 en la localidad.
Ante la urgencia, su marido solicitó una ambulancia privada y fue llevada al Hospital Privado de Comunidad (HPC), donde permaneció internada y logró superar la enfermedad.
Camino al sanatorio su condición de salud empeoró y fue trasladada a una clínica más cercana, el centro de salud Belgrano, al que arribó con un paro cardíaco. Los doctores trataron de restablecerla con tácticas que se extendieron hasta poco más de una hora, pero sin éxito.
“Es un cuadro que ocurre en los pacientes críticos, una causa de muerte frecuente en pacientes que han cursado una situación crítica. Es un diagnóstico de fuerte sospecha, pero la causa lejos está del coronavirus”, afirmaron a la prensa argentina.
La pérdida de la enfermera provocó conmoción en Mar del Plata, ya que se trata de la primera profesional de la salud del departamento de General Pueyrredón que pierde la vida tras contagiarse de la COVID-19.
