Emotivo momento en que le quitan el respirador artificial a paciente con coronavirus
Raúl se convirtió en el primer paciente del centro hospitalario en ser extubado y la emoción de los médicos se apoderó de todo el recinto.
En España, un paciente que fue internado grave en el Hospital Universitario Clínico San Carlos de Madrid, protagonizó, junto a los médicos que lo atendían, uno de los momentos más emotivos en el contexto de la pandemia del coronavirus.
En muchas ocasiones, cuando un paciente con coronavirus Covid-19 se convierte en crítico hay que hacer uso de la respiración asistida. Un instrumento mecánico que ayuda al paciente cuando ya no es capaz de respirar por sí mismo y que le mantiene ‘anclado’ a la vida hasta que la Medicina y los cuidados hacen su efecto. Por ello, retirar el respirador a un positivo de Covid-19 es un motivo de alegría para los centros sanitarios.
«Raúl, vamos a quitarte este tubo que tienes en la boca», le dice Cristian, el profesional encargado de retirar el respirador al paciente en un vídeo que se ha convertido en viral en las redes sociales. Tras un breve silencio, y ánimos por parte del resto de profesionales sanitarios, continúan las indicaciones. «Ahora, respira tranquilo», le dice desprendiéndole así del respirador.
El vídeo se ha hecho viral gracias al mensaje en las redes de uno de los profesionales del centro madrileño. Esteban Martín, cirujano general del Hospital Clínico San Carlos, adjuntaba la gesta con una frase que, a su vez, era una declaración de intenciones.» ¡Vamos! Uno a uno hasta que sean miles. Una y otra vez», afirmaba con alegría en el mensaje.
