Italia mantendrá sus fronteras cerradas hasta finales de año para los turistas de otros países, afirmó el ministro de Bienes Culturales y Turismo Dario Fraceschini en una entrevista para el diario La Repubblica el 25 de abril.
Las fechas del reinicio del turismo para los extranjeros en Italia dependerán de la tendencia epidemiológica y de la propia elección de los Estados. «El turismo internacional este año no vendrá. De ahí el plan ‘Vacaciones en Italia’ para una gran inversión en turismo interno» dijo el funcionario.
Entre otras medidas para impulsar al turismo se está discutiendo la idea de ofrecer bonos «para ayudar a las personas con hijos dependientes y de ingresos medios bajos» para que puedan ir de vacaciones. El ministro no detalló la cifra exacta de estos bonos, aunque se está hablando de cantidades de en torno los 500 euros por familia o una cifra inferior por persona.
Además, algunos museos italianos abrirán sus puertas en mayo, pero solo si son capaces de cumplir con los requisitos necesarios para garantizar la salud de los visitantes. La fecha de apertura, según el ministro, podría ser después del 4 de mayo.
