En su primera conferencia de prensa desde las elecciones, el republicano afirmó que será el tiempo el que defina quién gana.
Donald Trump habló de manera pública por primera vez desde el pasado martes 3 de noviembre, el día de las elecciones en Estados Unidos, y el paso del tiempo parece encaminar al republicano hacia eventualmente reconocer la derrota.
Ahora, al ser cuestionado sobre si habría un nuevo confinamiento derivado de los rebrotes de Covid-19 en el país, Trump aifrmó que su administración no decretará una nueva cuarentena, pero dejo entreabierta la puerta para ver que se ha resignado.
“Este gobierno no irá a un cierre. Con suerte, lo que pase en el futuro, quién sabe qué gobierno será, supongo que el tiempo lo dirá», dijo el republicano.
El pasado sábado 7 de noviembre, Joe Biden ganó los estados de Pennsilvania y Nevada, queándose así con el asiento presidencial en la Casa Blanca; sin embargo, Trump ha dicho en repetidas ocasiones que hubo “fraude electoral” y ha interpuesto varias demandas sobre el tema.
Este viernes, poco antes de la comparecencia de Donald Trump ante los medios, Biden ganó Georgia colocándose con 306 votos electorales, 74 por encima de los 232 del republicano, quien hoy ganó Carolina del Norte.
