Brasil detecta primer infectado por coronavirus en Latinoamérica
Las autoridades sanitarias de Brasil informaron que detectaron lo que sería el primer caso de coronavirus en el país, aunque aclararon que aún debe ser realizado un nuevo análisis para la confirmación definitiva.
Medios brasileños confirmaron este martes el primer caso de Coronavirus positivo en su país. Se trata de un hombre de 61 años, quien llegó proveniente desde Italia, el que arrojó el resultado de ser el primer infectado de COVID-19 en Sudamérica.
El hombre estuvo entre los pasados 9 y 21 de febrero en Lombardía, en el norte de Italia, país en el que hasta hoy se han registrado once muertes y cerca de 320 infectados por el virus.
El enfermo tuvo señales como tos y fiebre. Este caso podría disparar la dolencia en esta urbe de 22 millones de habitantes, ya que se trata de un pasajero que retornó en un vuelo con más de 200 turistas que tuvieron contacto con él. Hay 16 vuelos semanales procedentes de Milán y Roma, con destino a Sao Paulo y Río de Janeiro.
Los primeros análisis a esa persona, de acuerdo a los cuales habría contraído el coronavirus, fueron realizados en el hospital Albert Einstein, situado en la zona sur de la ciudad de Sao Paulo, donde se dieron resultados preliminares.
Esos resultados, considerados aún como “preliminares”, han sido enviados al Instituto Adolfo Lutz, un instituto de referencia a nivel nacional, a fin de que sea realizado un nuevo análisis, antes de que realmente el caso se confirme oficialmente como el primero de coronavirus en el país.
Desde el Ministerio de Salud de Brasil ratificaron que está en estudio el caso y que están a la espera de la contramuestra que será publicada el día de mañana miércoles.
Este processo de validação dos resultados está em curso e o @minsaude divulgará o laudo final da investigação oportunamente. A pasta recomenda, portanto, cautela sobre quaisquer informações que não sejam as oficiais, uma vez que a investigação não está concluída.

“Con los resultados preliminares realizados por la unidad de salud y de acuerdo con el Plan Nacional de Contingencia, el hospital envió la muestra al laboratorio nacional de referencia, el Instituto Adolfo Lutz, para contrarrestarlos. Este proceso de validación de los resultados está en curso y el Ministerio de Salud publicará el informe de investigación final a su debido tiempo”.
Este fue un mensaje que dio el gobierno brasileño.
