Autoridades de Alemania dieron custodia de niños a pedófilos durante décadas
Incluso recibieron un subsidio estatal.
A partir de la década de 1970, el profesor de psicología Helmut Kentler realizó un «experimento social» en Berlín occidental: niños sin hogar fueron dados en custodia con hombres pedófilos, intencionalmente. Estos hombres eran padres adoptivos especialmente amorosos, argumentó en aquel momento Kentler.
Un estudio realizado por la Universidad de Hildesheim descubrió que las autoridades de Berlín aprobaron esta práctica durante casi 30 años. Los padres adoptivos pedófilos incluso recibieron un subsidio estatal.
Las oficinas de bienestar infantil de Berlín y el Senado gobernante hicieron la vista gorda o, incluso, aprobaron las asignaciones de custodia.
Hace varios años, dos de las víctimas se presentaron y contaron su historia. Desde entonces, los investigadores de la Universidad de Hildesheim han revisado los archivos y han realizado entrevistas.
El propio Kentler estaba en contacto regular con los niños y sus padres adoptivos. Nunca fue procesado: cuando sus víctimas se presentaron ante la Justicia, el plazo de prescripción de los delitos. Esto también ha impedido que las víctimas reciban compensación por los daños sufridos.
Los investigadores encontraron que varios de los padres adoptivos eran académicos de alto perfil. Formaban pare de una red que incluía a miembros de alto rango del Instituto Max Planck, la Universidad Libre de Berlín, y la famosa Escuela Odenwald en Hesse, Alemania Occidental, que fue el centro de un gran escándalo de pedofilia hace varios años. Dicha escuela ya fue cerrada.
La senadora de Berlín para asuntos de la niñez y la juventud, Sandra Scheeres, calificó los hallazgos de «impactantes y horribles».
Un primer informe sobre el «Experimento Kentler» fue publicado en 2016 por la Universidad de Gotinga. Luego, los investigadores declararon que el Senado de Berlín parecía no tener interés en descubrir la verdad.
Ahora las autoridades de Berlín han prometido arrojar luz sobre el asunto.
