Accidente aéreo en Pakistán: murió la modelo Zara Abid y un centenar de pasajeros
El avión transportaba 99 pasajeros.
Un avión con 99 pasajeros y ocho miembros de la tripulación se estrelló en el sur de Pakistán cuando se encontraba a punto de aterrizar. El avión Airbus A-320, de la aerolínea Pakistán International Airlines (PIA) se dirigía desde la ciudad de Lahore a Karachi, capital económica del país asiático.
Varios testigos dijeron que el avión parecía haber intentado aterrizar dos o tres veces antes de estrellarse en la zona residencial cerca del aeropuerto internacional de Jinnah. El primer ministro de Pakistán, Imran Khan, tuiteó: «Sorprendido y entristecido por el accidente de PIA… Habrá una investigación inmediata. Oraciones y condolencias para las familias de los fallecidos».

Hasta el momento, «Diecinueve cuerpos sin vida fueron trasladados al Centro Médico Jinnah de Karachi y otros 35 al Hospital Civil de Karach», explicó un portavoz policial, Meeran Yusuf, a través de su cuenta de Twitter. Y confirmó que habría tres sobrevivientes.
De acuerdo con la agencia Reuters, el aparato siniestrado, un Airbus A320, tenía 15 años de antigüedad.
