Un impactante descubrimiento en el mundo animal tiene a científicos asombrados. Se trata de un caimán de más de un metro dentro de una pitón birmana, ejemplar que fue cazado en un parque natural de Florida, Estados Unidos, y que es considerado como especie invasora.
Fue la científica Rosie Moore quien compartió las insólitas imágenes del momento en el que especialistas realizan la autopsia y sacan al reptil intacto. “Nos llamaron y dijeron que había un objeto grande dentro de una enorme serpiente. Pensamos que era un ciervo o un caimán”, indicó la joven de 26 años.
“Pensé que era bastante asqueroso, y eso que estoy acostumbrada a las necropsias”, aceptó Rosie.

Sobre la caza de la pitón birmana, advirtió que es un animal de larga vida y rápida reproducción. “Estas serpientes han invadido con éxito zonas ecológicamente sensibles como el Parque Nacional de los Everglades”, agregó en respuesta a quienes criticaron la caza del ejemplar.
