Papa Francisco insta a acoger a homosexuales, pero pide “prudencia” en cuanto a seminarios
Tras la polémica que desató el papa Francisco al afirmar que hay “mariconería” en los seminarios, el sumo pontífice pronunció en las últimas horas un discurso en el que habla de inclusión.
En un encuentro realizado el martes 11 de junio en la Universidad Salesiana de Roma, el papa Francisco llamó a la Iglesia a «acoger» a las personas homosexuales, pero subrayó la necesidad de actuar con «prudencia» en cuanto a su posible admisión en los seminarios. Este mensaje fue parte de una reunión privada con alrededor de 200 sacerdotes, que llevan entre 11 y 39 años de ordenación, donde se discutieron temas de actualidad como la situación en Europa, las guerras en Tierra Santa y Ucrania, entre otras crisis, según informó la Santa Sede.
Durante la sesión, el papa Francisco tocó nuevamente el tema de la presencia de homosexuales en los seminarios, un asunto sensible que había generado controversia semanas atrás cuando el pontífice se disculpó por comentarios previos sobre la existencia de «mucho mariconeo» en estos lugares. En su mensaje, Francisco insistió en la importancia de recibir y acompañar a las personas homosexuales dentro de la Iglesia, destacando la necesidad de seguir las directrices prudentes del Dicasterio para el Clero respecto a su ingreso en los seminarios.
Además de abordar esta cuestión, el papa habló sobre el peligro de las ideologías dentro de la Iglesia. También se refirió a otros temas relevantes como las inversiones masivas en armamento, el uso de anticonceptivos, los altos costos en cuidados veterinarios y la cirugía estética. En este contexto, Francisco instó a los sacerdotes a trabajar en el magisterio social de la Iglesia, esforzándose por el bien común, la paz, y promoviendo la política como «la forma más alta de caridad».
El papa también exhortó a los curas a acompañar con cercanía, compasión y ternura a quienes sufren y a los ancianos. Asimismo, pidió a las congregaciones religiosas que utilicen sus propiedades para ayudar a paliar la emergencia residencial que enfrenta Roma.
Finalmente, Francisco alertó sobre el creciente problema del uso de drogas y la tragedia de la soledad, subrayando la necesidad de que la Iglesia se mantenga cercana y compasiva con aquellos que más lo necesitan.
