Hombre asesina a su esposa e hijas y luego escribe una carta a Dios para culpar a su ex
El hombre redactó una carta para acusar que su ex novia fue la culpable del asesinato de su esposa e hijas.
Chris Watts, el hombre condenado por el asesinato de su esposa embarazada y sus dos hijas, ha intentado desviar la culpa hacia su ex pareja a través de una carta escrita desde la cárcel. Watts, de 39 años, está cumpliendo varias cadenas perpetuas por los horrendos crímenes cometidos en agosto de 2018, según informó el New York Post.
Los asesinatos y su encubrimiento
En agosto de 2018, Chris Watts estranguló a su esposa Shanann, de 34 años, y asfixió a sus hijas de cuatro y tres años. Para ocultar sus crímenes, enterró los cuerpos en un campo petrolero donde trabajaba. Este acto atroz conmocionó a la nación y dejó a muchos preguntándose sobre el motivo detrás de tanta crueldad.
La carta desde la cárcel
En una carta fechada en marzo de 2020, Watts escribió a Dios, culpando a su ex novia, con quien tuvo una aventura y que también era su compañera de trabajo, de los asesinatos. «Querido Padre Celestial, me he descarriado. Soy como una oveja que se ha separado del rebaño y ha caído en un hoyo. La trampa del enemigo me ha atrapado. Las palabras de una ramera me han humillado», escribió Watts, refiriéndose a su ex pareja como la causa de sus acciones.
Watts continuó describiendo cómo se sintió atrapado por los encantos de su amante y cómo esto lo llevó a cometer los asesinatos. «Las bendiciones que me has otorgado estaban justo frente a mí y aún así seguía el perfume de una mujer extraña», añadió en su carta, expresando arrepentimiento y buscando el perdón divino.
La vida en prisión
Desde su encarcelamiento, Watts ha comenzado a estudiar la Biblia y co-publicó un libro de oraciones con otro recluso en 2021. En conversaciones con su compañero de celda, Dylan Tallman, Watts confesó sentirse estúpido por haber engañado a su esposa y le pedía perdón a Dios todos los días por su infidelidad.
Watts alegó que su ex novia lo presionó para elegir entre ella y su familia, lo que, según él, lo llevó a cometer los asesinatos. Esta afirmación ha sido recibida con escepticismo y críticas, ya que muchos consideran que Watts está intentando desviar la responsabilidad de sus actos.
