Rodrigo Marín a un año de su renuncia: “Les quedé mal porque tenía que seguir”
El médico abrió su corazón en una entrevista y confesó que se siente arrepentido por no concluir su labor en la atención de la pandemia.
El doctor Rodrigo Marín, quien fungió como director de Vigilancia de la Salud al inicio de la pandemia de la Covid-19 en Costa Rica, reconoce que se siente arrepentido por no haber podido concluir su labor en la atención de la pandemia.
Marín, quien era uno de los voceros del Ministerio de Salud durante los reportes epidemiológicos por la emergencia sanitaria, se vio obligado a renunciar a su cargo el 20 de julio del 2020 luego de que se publicaran varias fotos en las que se le observaba de paseo con su actual pareja, la periodista Fabiola Herra, y varios amigos en un yate sin usar mascarilla ni guardar la sana distancia con otras personas pese a los múltiples llamados de las autoridades sanitarias, y de él mismo, de permanecer en la casa.
“Era una sensación de… ¡puchica! decir les quedé mal porque tenía que seguir, me sentía muy mal por el cariño que me daba la gente hasta en los supermercados me daba ese cariño, esa fuerza. Lo digo de corazón, unos me lapidaron con algunos he podido conversar luego y la satisfacción de que los he podido ayudar incluso a políticos luego de ese tema me da satisfacción”, comentó el galeno originario de Cuba.
“Al final verdaderamente lo único malo que hice fue no andar una mascarilla y que en ese momento podía andar una careta”, agregó Marín quien tiene más de 23 años de vivir en Costa Rica.
Desde las plataformas orienta a quienes le escriben sobre temas de la Covid-19 y otros padecimientos.
“Trato de interactuar con las personas que me escriben y me dicen doctor hago esto, hago aquello, mi hijo tiene síntomas, me pondría tal vacuna y eso me hace verdaderamente muy feliz”, indicó el doctor quien ahora se desempeña como coordinador nacional de manejo integrado de vectores en el Ministerio de Salud.
