¡Este lunes regresó a circulación la versión impresa de Diario Extra!
“La Extra llena una necesidad de comunicación en la gente que la espera, que está ahí y no debe morir”, aseguró Óscar Gutiérrez, el nuevo dueño del grupo informativo.
Unos celebraron su cierre, otros lo lamentaron, lo cierto es que este lunes Grupo Extra volvió con todos los poderes porque regresó a circulación nacional la versión impresa de su producto informativo consentido: Diario Extra.
Recordemos que el pasado 31 de mayo, el grupo anunció el fin de sus operaciones que significó el cierre, ahora temporal, de tres medios de comunicación: Diario Extra; Extra TV 42, y Radio América 780 AM.
En la rueda de prensa se indicó que Iary Gomez asumiría la dirección del grupo informativo (Diario Extra, Radio América y Canal 42) y que la mayoría de los trabajadores de la antigua administración se reintegraría a sus labores con el nuevo dueño el 3 de julio.
Gutiérrez declaró que la línea editorial del controvertido periódico se mantendrá.
“Fue una decisión muy rápida. Tenemos algunos valores afines, primero que nada, cuando desarrollamos Transcomer una de las cosas que quisimos desmitificar fue esto de decir que los puestos de bolsa son para la gente con mucha plata. Nosotros decimos ¿por qué no buscar vehículos para que sea mucho más accesible invertir? También en proyectos de bienes raíces, en los que típicamente solo pueden entrar inversionistas muy grandes. Ese ha sido un enfoque por varios años en Transcomer, lograr eso, entonces sí me identifico mucho con la gente que lee La Extra”, comentó Gutiérrez.
“Cuando me enteré de la noticia de que cerraba Diario Extra la primera sensación que tuve fue “esto es una tragedia. No debe cerrar La Extra, es la voz del pueblo”. Pensé que la gente tiene derecho a continuar expresándose transparentemente, claramente, entonces la primera reacción, el primer sentimiento, fue “esto no es bueno, esto no está bien para el país”. Pero también en la sangre llevamos lo de empresario y sin dudar me dije: “Bueno, ahí hay una oportunidad”, agregó.
Don Óscar añadió que el cierre de Diario Extra dejaba un vacío en los medios de comunicación de Costa Rica.
“La Extra llena una necesidad de comunicación en la gente que la espera, que está ahí y no debe morir. Eso no debe acabar y es un tema de venir, entrar y ver cómo apoyamos en el grupo. Lo que pensé inmediatamente fue ver cómo ayudar utilizando la experiencia que tenemos como empresa en temas como para mercadearlo mejor y ver la manera de llevarlo de nuevo a un negocio rentable, como todos los negocios deben ser”, finalizó.
