BCR analiza el cierre de sucursales
Uno de los motivos es la migración de los servicios bancarios a internet.
El Banco de Costa Rica (BCR) estaría estudiando un plan para cerrar algunas de sus sucursales en la Gran Área Metropolitana (GAM) debido a la baja afluencia de clientes tras la migración de los servicios bancarios a internet.
Según recoge un artículo de Diario Extra, durante la pandemia por la covid-19 muchas personas se habrían acostumbrado a realizar las transacciones por medio de la aplicación móvil o de la página web de la entidad bancaria, lo que causó que muchos ya no quieran ir al banco personalmente a realizar los trámites.
Fuentes allegadas a Extra indicaron que en corrillos del BCR se dice que hay oficinas muy cerca de otras, de modo que el plan podría suponer dejar una abierta y cerrar otras en un mismo lugar, pero esta información no ha sido confirmada.
El BCR cuenta con 4.300 empleados, de ellos 662 trabajan fuera de la GAM.
