(Video) ¡Qué orgullo! Sherman Guity se bañó de oro por segunda oacasión en Dubái
El paratleta se encargó de dejar el nombre de Costa Rica en lo más alto en el Gran Prix de Dubái.
Una vez más el paratleta costarricense Sherman Güity se encargó de dejar el nombre de Costa Rica en lo más alto, esto luego de volver a ganar la medalla de oro en el Gran Prix de Dubái.
En esta segunda ocasión Güity, ganó la competencia en la categoría de 100 metros planos con un tiempo de 10:93, y cabe destacar que lo hizo de manera “sobrada” como dirían popularmente.
Con respecto a esta nueva medalla, el costarricense corrió en el carril cuatro donde estuvo muy cerca de su mejor tiempo, que es de 10.78, el cual consiguió en los Juegos Paralímpicos Tokio 2020, donde obtuvo la medalla de plata.
“Me voy muy feliz, lo que deseaba era competir y claro, ganar. Para ser las dos primeras competencias oficiales del año los tiempos, tanto en los 200 como los 100 son muy buenos. Ahora que ya tenemos registros vamos a trabajar en los próximos entrenamientos para corregir y seguir dándole triunfos a Costa Rica”, indicó Sherman tras ganar los 100 metros.
Este 2023 viene cargado de competencias para el paratleta, quien ahora competirá en el Gran Prix de Italia del 11 al 13 de mayo; el Grand Prix de Nottwil en Suiza del 22 al 27 de mayo; el Mundial de Para Atletismo en París del 8 al 17 de julio y los Juegos Parapanamericanos en Santiago de Chile del 17 al 25 de noviembre.
