“Si no arreglamos los problemas de fondo nos vamos al carajo”, advierte Carlos Alvarado
Así respondió el presidente de la República a quienes lo critican por priorizar la discusión del proyecto de empleo público en la Asamblea Legislativa.
El mandatario de la República, Carlos Alvarado Quesada, envió un mensaje a los que lo critican por priorizar la discusión del proyecto de empleo público en la Asamblea Legislativa.
Alvarado considera que de nada serviría aprobar proyectos de dinamismo económico cuando no se trata el origen del problema: las golpeadas finanzas públicas estatales que se deterioraron más por los efectos económicos provocados por la pandemia de la Covid-19.
Por eso advirtió que es necesario aprobar el proyecto de empleo público en la Asamblea Legislativa y el acuerdo sobre nuevos ingresos negociado con el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI).
“Sería engañarnos no poner eso en el centro. Si no hay estabilidad económica, si no saltamos la problemática que nos deja la Covid-19 de las finanzas públicas, estamos en un riesgo enorme. Todos, el Pacifico central, el sur, chorotega, todos. Y por eso hay que implementar eso. Ese es el riesgo más grande que hay para la reactivación”, declaró el presidente en una actividad realizada la mañana de este viernes en la Estación de Guardacostas de Caldera, en Puntarenas.
“A mí me dicen mucho ‘es que el presidente no está preocupado por la reactivación, sólo por el acuerdo del Fondo Monetario y empleo público‘. Si nosotros no le damos estabilidad a nuestra economía, perdónenme la expresión coloquial, todo se va a ir al carajo”, manifestó Alvarado.
El presidente de la República considera que los problemas deben atacarse “de raíz” y eso solo se logra, según su criterio, con el plan del empleo público y el acuerdo con el FMI.
“Si no arreglamos los problemas de fondo, igual, nos vamos al carajo, no podemos engañarnos”, reiteró.
El proyecto de Ley Marco al Empleo Público busca crear un sistema de salario global en el sector público para sustituir el modelo de pluses salariales.
El Ministerio de Planificación Nacional y Política Económica (Mideplan) aseguró que el sector público se ahorraría hasta un 1,8% del producto interno bruto (PIB), anualmente, a lo largo de tres décadas con la creación del salario global.
