Lineth Saborío se convierte en candidata presidencial tras arrasar en convención de PUSC
Saborío será la primera mujer en la historia del partido socialcristiano en aspirar a la presidencia de la República.
Por primera vez en la historia el Partido Unidad Social Cristiana (PUSC) tendrá a una mujer como su representante de cara a los comicios electorales de febrero próximo. Este domingo los socialcristianos eligieron a la abogada Lineth Saborío Chaverri como su candidata presidencial para las elecciones del 2022.
Saborío, exdirectora del Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) y exvicepresidenta de la República en el gobierno de Abel Pacheco (2002-2006) arrasó este domingo en la convención interna del PUSC, obtuvo el 56,6 % de los votos de acuerdo con el Tribunal Electoral Interno de la agrupación política.
Estos datos corresponden al 12 % de las mesas escrutadas, al corte de las 9:00 p.m. El PUSC indicó a esa hora problemas en su sistema de conteo de votos, y aseguraron que continuarán dando resultados este lunes.
En su mensaje de victoria Saborío, quien es oriunda de Sarchí, aseguró que en caso de llegar a la presidencia reactivar la economía nacional y combatir el desempleo tendrá un peso medular.
Con Lineth Saborío, ya son dos mujeres en la papeleta presidencial del 2022 ya que el sábado anterior el partido Unidos Podemos eligió a Natalia Díaz como su representante en las elecciones del próximo año.
